There are now many anti-bullying websites. Here are some you may want to check out. Click the screen captures to visit the website!

	Scottish Schools Ethos Network - our sister site, gives information about creating a positive school ethos, developing themes such as positive discipline and pupil participation.
	Partnership for Children, for Zippy's Friends about coping skills.
	Parent Zone Scotland, relaunched, provides information for parents.
	Kidscape, works to provide individuals/organisations with practical skills and resources to help keep children safe from harm.
	Britkid, an interactive website about race, racism and life.
	Coastkid, an interactive website for young people about bullying.

Over the next few months you’ll notice a number of changes at the Anti-Bullying Network website aimed at making the site more useful and accessible. For advice and information, including publications and research summaries, this is a ‘must visit’ site! Please note that because we are receiving so many emails nowadays, we cannot promise to answer any coming from outside Scotland.

ChildLine’s Bullying Line
ChildLine runs a dedicated bullying line for young people in Scotland. This is underwritten by the Scottish Executive. Trained volunteer counsellors are there to take calls. From the beginning of November the line will be open for longer - from 3.30pm to 10pm Monday to Friday and also 2pm to 8pm on Saturday and Sunday. Freephone 0800 44 11 11.

If young people are wanting to talk to someone outside these hours or about another issue that’s troubling them, they can phone the 24 hour helpline on 0800 1111. ChildLine operates a special textphone service for young people who are deaf or who find using a regular phone difficult. This service operates from 9.30am to 9.30pm on weekdays and 9.30am to 8pm at weekends Call 0800 400 222. For more information about ChildLine see their website.

Enquire
Enquire is an independent national special educational needs advice and information service in Scotland. The advice line is now open longer: Monday, Tuesday, Thursday and Friday 9am to 5pm plus Tuesday and Thursday 7pm to 9pm and Wednesday 8am to 5pm. The new phone number is 0845 123 2303. Calls are charged at local rates. Staff provide information and advice on a wide range of issues. Visit their website.

ParentLine Scotland
ParentLine Scotland is a service provided by Children 1st. It is a confidential, free helpline for parents or carers who have concerns about a child. Calls to ParentLine cover a range of issues including bullying. The helpline is open Monday, Wednesday and Friday 9am to 5pm and Tuesday, Thursday 9am to 9pm Telephone 0808 800 2222. Young Minds Parents’ Information Service
