Bullying Line
ChildLine
runs a dedicated bullying line for young people in Scotland. This
is underwritten by the Scottish Executive. Trained volunteer counsellors
are there to take calls. From the beginning of November the line
will be open for longer - from 3.30pm to 10pm Monday to Friday
and also 2pm to 8pm on Saturday and Sunday. Freephone 0800 44
11 11.
If young
people are wanting to talk to someone outside these hours or about
another issue thats troubling them, they can phone the 24
hour helpline on 0800 1111. ChildLine operates a special textphone
service for young people who are deaf or who find using a regular
phone difficult. This service operates from 9.30am to 9.30pm on
weekdays and 9.30am to 8pm at weekends Call 0800 400 222. For

Enquire
is
an independent national special educational needs advice and information
service in Scotland. The advice line is now open longer: Monday,
Tuesday, Thursday and Friday 9am to 5pm plus Tuesday and Thursday
7pm to 9pm and Wednesday 8am to 5pm. The new phone number is 0845
123 2303. Calls are charged at local rates. Staff provide information

ParentLine
Scotland is a service provided by Children 1st. It is a confidential,
free helpline for parents or carers who have concerns about a
child. Calls to ParentLine cover a range of issues including bullying.
The helpline is open Monday, Wednesday and Friday 9am to 5pm and
Tuesday, Thursday 9am to 9pm Telephone 0808 800 2222. Visit their
