Dear
V....
I
was very sorry to read in your email that you've been bullied
for such a long time. Like all types of bullying, name-calling
is deeply unkind and hurtful. You shouldn't have to go through
this. Please tell your parents and your teacher what's been
going on and how it makes you feel. Together you can look
at ways of stopping it. You don't have to go through this
on your own. Adults should be taking this seriously and supporting
you. Please believe that this is not your fault. What's happening
is wrong and there can never be any excuse for it.
I'd
also suggest that you contact ChildLine. It really can help
to talk to someone about what's happening. The calls are free
and they won't pass on your details unless you want them to.
If you're in Scotland you could phone ChildLine Scotland's
Bullying helpline which is open 3.30pm - 10pm Monday to Friday
or weekends 2pm - 8pm, freephone 0800 44 1111. If you're outside
Scotland or if you're in Scotland phoning after the hours
above, you could contact Childline which has a 24 hour helpline
on 0800 1111. If you'd prefer you could write to them and
one of their counsellors will reply to your letter. You can
write to ChildLine, Freepost, 45 Folgate Street, London E1
6GL.
I do
hope you can talk to someone directly about this and get some
support.
With
my best wishes,
